Report reveals more details about Google's products for 2019

A new report from Taipei's Nikkei reveals new details about Google's product roadmap for this year. Google will launch its first non-premium smartphone model with a more budget-friendly price point to appeal to more customers in emerging markets. Sony Xperia XA3 may actually be called Xperia 10, XZ4 could be the Xperia 10Z

Sony may refresh the name of its Xperia phones. Rumor has it that the Xperia XA3 and Plus will actually be called the "Xperia 10" and "Xperia 10 Plus". There's more to it than that, the "X" name could go away completely. The Xperia XZ4 may launch as the "Xperia 10Z". Other letters are possible too - like "Xperia 10X" - but since X=10 we think that going with "Z" makes more sense (plus, it's a callback to the old Xperia Z flagships). Sony Xperia XA3 and XA3 Ultra - or is it Xperia 10? The "X" series first came around in 2016 as before splitting into the premium XZ and mid-range...

Galaxy S10+ handled on video, the screen protector has a hole for the FP reader

Did you hear that Samsung Galaxy S10's in-display fingerprint reader will not work with screen protectors? This is more than a rumor, check out this short hands-on video with the Galaxy S10+ posted by Mobile Fun. The big round hole in the screen protector is plainly visible. Actually, it's a bit of an eye sore. Current in-display readers are optical, so a transparent screen protector isn't an issue. However, Galaxy S10's readers will be of the ultrasonic kind and apparently those don't like stuff stuck to the glass. The Galaxy S10e will side-step this issue by moving the...

LG G8 ThinQ leaks in official looking renders

The LG G8 ThinQ has leaked yet again, this time in a very official looking render from evleaks. The new image shows the phone from every side and confirms that the phone looks remarkably similar to the current V40 ThinQ. The G8 has a similar facade to the V40, with a notched design and somehow still managing to have a rather thick bezel at the top. Unlike the V40, the G8 seems to have just one camera on the front. Along the sides, everything is where you'd expect, including the button to launch Google Assistant on the right. It's good to see that LG is still including a headphone...

Official teaser highlights vivo V15's 48MP triple camera

A new teaser video for the vivo V15 and V15 Pro has surfaced and this time it's not a leak, it was published by the company's official account. The focus is, once again, triple camera on the back, which will have 48 + 8 + 5MP sensors. The pop-up selfie camera isn't featured in this short clip, but it's the star of this older video. It has an impressive 32MP sensor and keeps the screen notch free (and there's a fingerprint reader built into the screen). The vivo V15 duo will be unveiled next week - February 20 and pre-orders should open up right away (the expected price is...

Xiaomi Mi 9 shines in hands-on photos

Earlier today Xiaomi officially announced the Mi 9 arrival on February 20. There are seven days until the official announcement, but the device already popped up in hands-on images, revealing the three-cam setup. The colorful accent around the camera is also visible and the back panel seems to have a unique paint job. Xiaomi Mi 9 hands-on photos The front of the Xiaomi Mi 9 will have a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. Having such a small cutout means no more 3D face-scanning technology, introduced with the Mi 8 Pro. The bezels from all sides look minimal, with the bottom...

New renders show Sony Xperia XA3 and XA3 Ultra

The Sony Xperia XA3 will go "CinemaWide", just like the XZ4 flagship, but the renders so far haven't made a clear distinction between the vanilla, Plus and/or Ultra models. Rumors have described two models so far - one with a 5.9" screen (vanilla) and one with 6.5" (Ultra?). Sony Xperia XA3 and XA3 Ultra side by side These side-by-side 3D renders appear to show exactly those models, at least measuring the proportion of their screen diagonals matches the 5.9"/6.5" rumor accurately. Both screens have 21:9 aspect ratio. Size aside, the two models seem pretty much identical with...

Galaxy S10e name officially confirmed by Samsung

After the massive Galaxy S10 leak from yesterday, there were few things left uncertain about the Samsung lineup. One of those was the name of the budget variant but we can cross it off the list. According to Samsung's official French website, the handset will indeed be called Galaxy S10e with a lowercase "e". The French branch set up a landing page and without giving any further details, it lists all three Galaxy S10 models with their names. This is as official as it gets. There's also no info regarding the fourth 5G model, but we assume it will come out later this year, while the...

Samsung Galaxy Buds leak in black, will have smaller battery than Gear IconX (2018)

In the past Samsung has often paired its new flagship with a pair of premium headphones and the Galaxy S10 is no exception. Except instead of a pair of AKG headphones, you'll be getting the new Galaxy Buds. They can be charged wirelessly by the S10 phones and they need it too as the buds themselves only have 58mAh batteries and the case has 252mAh more. Compare that to the Gear IconX (2018), which had 82mAh in the buds and 340mAh in the case. And those weren't exactly famous for their battery life. Using the reverse wireless charging of the Galaxy S10 is only a partial solution - even...

Interestingly, the FCC docs show the phone running Android 8.1 Oreo. As for the Nokia 1 Plus, it will have a microUSB port charging the 2,500mAh battery (the phone will be bundled...
